The upside down planet !
It's up to us to turn it right side up!

THE GREEN ATTITUDE

In our commitment to the environment, we see every action as an investment in the future, a legacy we want to leave for generations to come.

In managing the hotel, we have taken responsibility for minimising our impact on the planet.

Our approach is based on the principles of Sustainable Development, with ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ as our mantra.

These principles are not just words, but guidelines anchored in our daily lives, both within the establishment and in our personal lives.

For several years now, we have been taking concrete steps to reduce our ecological footprint, whether by reducing energy consumption, promoting recycling, using sustainable materials or encouraging our customers to adopt environmentally-friendly practices.

Every small gesture counts in our efforts to preserve the beauty and richness of our planet for future generations.

Outdoors

As part of our commitment to the environment, we have introduced a number of initiatives to reduce our ecological footprint.

We have installed 120 m² of fully integrated photovoltaic panels on the roof of the hotel, while our green spaces are maintained without pesticides and watered with rainwater collected in the evening.

We use a heat pump to heat our swimming pool and favour local species in our garden.

In addition, we have installed bird nesting boxes and make the most of the natural surroundings.

Our terrace is equipped with deckchairs made from 100% wood from sustainably managed forests. Similarly, the surface of our car park is non-waterproofing, which helps water to seep into the ground.

Finally, our charming hens, such as Lafille, Nègre soie blanche and Pompon, contribute to the management of organic waste with appetite, thus participating in our overall ecological approach.

Inside

We have implemented a series of measures to reduce our environmental footprint within the hotel.

We use wood-burning stoves to heat communal areas, and water flow restrictors are installed on all taps.

In the shower rooms, we encourage our guests to request a change of bathroom linen only on request. In addition, we use recycled toilet paper and low-energy light bulbs are used in the lighting, which is also equipped with presence and twilight detectors.

We have opted for double-glazed windows and effective thermal insulation, complemented by wooden shutters that protect against heat and provide perfect blackout.

To manage our resources efficiently, we read our water and electricity meters every month.

To maintain pleasant temperatures in the bedrooms, we have opted for wooden shutters and double glazing rather than air conditioning.

What’s more, we have banned all carpets from the hotel for reasons of allergies, dust mites and hygiene, and we only use eco-label paint for renovations.

Finally, all the cleaning products we use are eco-labelled, as part of our overall approach to protecting the environment.

For our customers

We have adopted a series of measures to reduce our environmental footprint within the hotel. We use wood-burning stoves to heat communal areas, and all taps have water flow limiters to save water. In the bathrooms, we encourage our guests to request a change of bathroom linen only on request, and we use recycled toilet paper. The lighting in the establishment is fitted with low-energy light bulbs, as well as presence detectors and twilight detectors for optimum light management. We have also invested in double-glazed windows and effective thermal insulation, complemented by wooden shutters to keep the building warm in winter and cool in summer. To better manage our resources, we read our water and electricity meters every month. In the bedrooms, we prefer wooden shutters and double glazing to air conditioning, and we have eliminated all carpets from the hotel for reasons of allergies and hygiene. What’s more, we only use eco-label paint for renovations, and all the cleaning products we use are also eco-label products, as part of our overall commitment to the environment.
