Fort Royer

The oyster-farming and nature site of Fort Royer is home to a traditional village of wooden huts dedicated to oyster farming.

The oyster farmers of Fort Royer still work in the traditional way, from breeding to shipping, including the maturing of the oysters.

There are a number of activities on offer to the public, including walks through the oyster beds at low tide, guided tours of the marshes and dozens of bird species, and a botanical garden.
